Love threw three. Lambeau closed Thursday

Score and leaders: The Football Database, Week 8 of 2026. Thursday's recap is on ESPN.

The only Week 8 game that is final, as of Friday 30 October, is Thursday's. Carolina visited Lambeau and left with 19. Green Bay kept 27, and a 5-3 record. The Panthers stay 3-4. The rest of the week is played on Sunday 1 November and Monday 2 November. For a league that locks on Thursday, this result is already the box score. For one that locks on Sunday, it is the only number that will not move.

Six, fourteen, seven and a zero

Green Bay's quarters were 6, 14, 7 and 0. Carolina's were 3, 7, 3 and 6. The Packers did the damage in the first half and the third quarter, and they did not score in the last. The Panthers scratched six in the fourth and never got to a tie. There is no need to invent a comeback story: the score says Lambeau managed a lead and Carolina stayed a long touchdown short.

Love, 30 of 41. Young, one score and one interception

Jordan Love completed 30 of 41 passes for 288 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. That is a fantasy starter line in any format: volume, three scores and a single turnover. Bryce Young finished with 209 yards, one touchdown and one interception. In a ten-team league, that Young line is a QB2 on a bad week. In a fourteen-team league, it is the kind of floor that sends you to the wire if your starter is on a bye. Thursday did not change either man's place on the rest of the schedule. It did close the week for anyone who had them on Thursday Night.

Hubbard ran. Jacobs scored on thin ground

Chuba Hubbard carried 22 times for 81 yards and a touchdown. Twenty-two touches are RB1 work even when the average is not a highlight: 3.7 yards per carry and the score. Josh Jacobs had 21 attempts for 39 yards and a touchdown of his own. The score saves the fantasy line. The ground does not. Anyone who started him for the Lambeau name got the touchdown and little else on the ground. In PPR, that line asks whether there were catches. The rushing leaders published by Football Database and ESPN do not give him a receiving line in the summary. The number that is there is 21-39-1.

Watson, 113. McMillan, 58

Christian Watson caught eight passes for 113 yards. Eight receptions in PPR are eight points before the yards: 113 yards are another 11.3 on the one-point-per-ten-yards table. Without a touchdown in the receiving summary, the week is already a high WR2 or a low WR1, depending on the rest of your roster. Tetairoa McMillan, on the other side, had six catches for 58 yards. In PPR that is 6 plus 5.8. A useful flex week, not a game to win a playoff match by himself. The same Thursday's injury report, written in the afternoon, was still unsure whether Matthew Golden would be active and asked you not to start Emeka Egbuka ahead of Watson. The result backed Watson's volume: eight balls, 113 yards, and a game that is already final.

Thursday Night is watched after midnight in Spain. Anyone who did not lock the lineup on Thursday afternoon was late for Love and Watson, and on time to avoid repeating the mistake on Sunday. The next number that moves rosters is not another Lambeau quarter. It is Friday's report and the thirteen games still to play, Chiefs in Denver included.

Desk conclusion: in PPR, Thursday was decided by Watson's volume, not by the name Lambeau.
